My earliest work was building a framework to replace insecure ad-hoc scripts with a secure, centralised platform, freeing my team to spend time on the problems only a person could solve. I followed that with an automated troubleshooting system that cut a thirty-minute multi-system process down to a single input. A decade later I still work towards a simple principle: build the tools that get people back to their real jobs.

Development of "The Framework" Migrating ad-hoc AutoIT scripts to a centralised PHP platform
Problem Statement: Team automation ran as individual AutoIT scripts, executed headless on unmanaged, unlocked Windows XP machines with no shared standards or security oversight.
Solution: Building a centralised automation platform in PHP on a hardened Linux server. This was later expanded into a full API backend and HTML front end for data input, management, and reporting. Old scripts were retired one at a time, rebuilding each against the new platform and capabilities rather than porting them directly.
- Introduced version control as the platform took shape
- Introduced code review and mentored other developers as the team grew
- Recommended local tooling and built server-side tooling to streamline day-to-day development
Creation of "Sherlock" Frontline automated troubleshooting tool
Problem Statement: Front-line support agents needed twenty systems to troubleshoot a customer fault and average thirty minutes to resolve a problem.
Solution: Creation of an extensible solution that takes a single input and performs automated testing across multiple systems.
- Allows an agent to focus on the customer
- Performs next-best-action
- Ensures proper creation of trouble-tickets within minutes
- Allows process designers to engineer and maintain complex flows
